“Oh, it was nothing.” he smiled, taking another small bite of the home-made bread as he poured some wine into the tall decorative glasses. It had taken him over four and a half hours to set this up, but it had all been worth it. “I really wanted to be there, but I sort of put my mind into cook this meal to surprise you.” Adam informed her with a soft smile, remembering how he’d tried to plan every last detail. He laughed gently as she rubbed her stomach. “Yep, she brought round a cook book the other day.” he beamed brightly.
“Of course it isn’t nothing, it means everything to me”, Jayma said smiling. She took a sip of the wine he had poured into her glass and continued eating her soup until the very last drop. “Thank you so much Adam, everything is great”. She wanted to make it up to him but she wasn’t sure how just yet.
Adam smiled brightly at what she said, feeling proud of himself and completely in love with her. He tried daily to make her happy and every time he succeeded, he just felt insanely brilliant inside. They finished their soup and he put the bowls in the sink, ready to wash up later. The beef kleftico was ready, with the potatoes and vegetables, so he plated them up and poured over some warm grave, just the way she liked it. Placing the main on the table, he smiled once more. “What else happened at the promotion?” he asked, still a bit upset that he wasn’t their to support her.

Adam laughed gently, following his wife into the kitchen, offering her a seat. The cutlery and plates were already set out neatly, with a bottle of red wine sitting perfectly in the middle of the table with a bucket of ice. He’d made chicken and sweetcorn soup for their starter, his mother’s secret recipe. Turning to the cooker, he grabbed two bowels and a ladle, pouring the thick liquid into them. Adam moved back over to the table, placing the soup down with a plate of warm home-made bread. ”How was the promotion?” he asked, taking a small bite of bread.
Jayma smiled at Adam before taking a seat that he had offered for her. “Adam this all looks so lovely, thank you for everything”. She looked at the table seeing how much effort he had put in to this dinner for her. She watched as he poured the soup into bowls and set it down in front of her. “It was good, I met some really great fans today, I wish you could of been there though, I missed you”. She took a small sip of soup and rubbed her stomach in delight. “This tastes so good, your mothers secret recipe right? My favorite!”

Adam had told Jayma that he’d be running a few errands, while she went to the promotion of her new movie, “The Smurfs”. But, in reality, he’d been out to the super market, as he wanted to surprise his adorable wife with a romantic meal when she came home. When he’d gotten back to their house, an hour before her, he put the food on the stove and left it to cook. Turning on the television, he grabbed a beer and began watching some random talk show. He smiled brightly when he saw her come in, looking beautiful as always. “Hey, Jayma.” he beamed, standing to greet her with a sweet kiss. “I made dinner.”
She smiled widely as he greeted her at the door with a kiss, she could never get enough of his soft lips. She could smell the dinner cooking throughout the house. “Aw, thanks Adam. It really smells great, I’m starving!” She planted a quick kiss on his lips and walked in to the kitchen to see what was cooking.

Jayma was just getting home from an event that night promoting her new movie, “The Smurfs”. Adam unfortunately couldn’t make it there with her since he had to run a few errands around town. She was extremely happy to be coming home to her handsome husband after a long day at work. She opened the door to their home and there he was sitting on the couch, waiting for her. A smile instantly spread across her face, revealing her dimples at the sight of her husband. She giggled as she exclaimed, “Honey I’m home!”
